The FBI said during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon that agents “do not believe” that the presumed ISIS supporter who carried out a terror attack in New Orleans’ French Quarter acted alone.
“We are working with our partners to investigate this as an act of terrorism,” said FBI Assistant Special Agent In Charge Alethea Duncan. “We’re aggressively running down all the leads to identify the possible subject’s associates. We’re working to ensure that there is no further threat.”
“We do not believe that Jabbar was solely responsible,” she continued. “We are aggressively running down every lead, including those of his known associates. That’s why we need the public’s help.”
Duncan said later during the press conference that she did not want to name a specific number of suspects that the FBI was looking at because she did not want to limit the possibility that there were more unknown suspects.
