‘Hahahaha’: Kamala Campaign Account Deletes Post That Led To Tim Pool Defamation Suit

The social media account for Kamala Harris’s failed presidential campaign has deleted a false post about political commentator Tim Pool, seemingly as part of a legal settlement that stemmed from a defamation lawsuit.

Pool announced on Friday that the Kamala HQ post, which falsely labeled Pool a “Trump operative” associated with Project 2025, was deleted. The post said that Pool was part of a plan to give Trump “unchecked legal power so they can jail and execute those who don’t support Trump if he wins.” Pool sued in federal court, saying the false post caused him “reputational harm” that would take millions of dollars to undo.

Pool did not reveal the details of any legal settlement with the failed politician’s campaign, only that it has “been resolved to my satisfaction.”

“The lawsuit between I, Tim Pool, and The Kamala Harris Campaign has been resolved to my satisfaction,” Pool wrote alongside a screenshot of a now-deleted post. “Thank you.”

Asked for further details about the legal settlement, Pool said in a statement: “Hahahahahaha.”

Pool’s lawsuit sought a retraction, as well as damages and attorney’s fees. The deletion appears to be the retraction.

The rest of the posts from Kamala HQ appear to still be up on X, indicating that it was a specific action taken regarding the post on Pool. Making outlandish statements regarding the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 became a central strategy of the Harris campaign.

Even CNN’s Daniel Dale, a fact-checker who rarely targets Democrats, said the campaign account was “repeatedly deceptive” on X.

“A social media account run by Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has been repeatedly deceptive,” Dale wrote for CNN. “The @KamalaHQ account, which has more than 1.3 million followers on the X social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has made a habit of misleadingly clipping and inaccurately captioning video clips to attack former President Donald Trump.”

The account hasn’t posted since November 5, when Harris lost the presidency to Republican Donald Trump.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
