19 Suspected Venezuelan Illegal Alien Gangsters Detained At Colorado Apartment Complex

The Aurora Police Department detained 19 suspected illegal alien gang members from Venezuela on Tuesday following an incident that unfolded on Monday night.

Police said at a news conference that late Monday night, more than a dozen armed gang members accosted a male and female victim at the Edge at Lowry Apartments and forced them into a different unit at the complex.

The apartment complex has been at the center of gang activity involving Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan illegal alien gang that is accused of taking over apartment complexes and committing crimes against residents.

Aurora police chief Todd Chamberlain said that the individuals who were detained are Venezuelan and they all appear to be illegal aliens.

The victims were forced into the other unit against their will, bound, pistol-whipped, beaten, and stabbed.

They were later released after the victims promised they would not contact police. Immediately upon being released, the victims contacted law enforcement.

Chamberlain said 14 people were located in one unit early Tuesday morning and they all appeared to be involved in the attack. Another five individuals were detained later on Tuesday.

None of the individuals have been charged with a crime yet as detectives process the scene and search for evidence connecting them to the crimes. Police can hold the suspects for up to 72 hours given the severity of the crimes they are suspected of being involved in.

The agency said it has not made any formal arrests and has no charges yet to report.

“I am utilizing any resource that I can to verify who these individuals are, who these suspects are, what their involvement is with this crime and what their identities are,” Chamberlain said. “I am presently using the Department of Homeland Security, I am using HSI, and I am also using ICE to help identify who these suspects are and what actions they are involved in.”

The owners of the property, CBZ Management, have blamed the policies of Democrat politicians for the gang activity at the apartment complex as they have pleaded for law enforcement to intervene and remove the criminals.

Chamberlain said at the press conference that he was 100% certain that the incident was gang related and hinted that Tren de Aragua could be involved, but stopped short of making any definitive statements about the identity of the gang.

“What I will say based on the actions that I saw, based on how the event unfolded, this is 100% gang activity,” he said.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
