Biden Endorses Harris To Be Democrats’ New Nominee

President Joe Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday to be the Democrat Party’s new presidential nominee after he announced that he was ending his reelection campaign.

“My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” Biden said. “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.”

Biden’s endorsement came less than 30 minutes after he announced in a letter to the public that he was ending his campaign, bowing to pressure from high-ranking Democrats and media figures who feared he would be unable to defeat former President Donald Trump.

“I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” Biden said.

He said that he would address the nation later this week about his decision.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
