Biden Slurs And Fumbles Over Words In First Remarks In Days To Campaign: ‘I’m Not Going Anywhere’

President Joe Biden called into Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign on Monday, the first time anyone has heard from him in days, and he slurred his words and sounded hoarse as he declared that he was going to be campaigning for Harris.

The remarks from Biden come after he announced in a written statement on Sunday that he was dropping out of the presidential race and that he was endorsing Harris to replace him as the party’s nominee.

The 81-year-old, who currently has COVID, called into the recorded event and thanked those who have been working on his campaign as it’s faced weeks of pressure from the media and members of the Democrat Party.

“I’ve been honored and humbled,” he said. “I mean this from the bottom my heart, my word as a Biden, for all you’ve done for me and my family. And you, we built the best campaign in organ–, organization in history. I’ve been doing this, I always kid and say I know I’m only 40. But I’ve been around a long time. I don’t know of a better campaign organization grassroots campaign.”

The longer Biden spoke, the worse he sounded as he yawned and struggled to sound coherent.

“Now, now we got to, you know, the name has changed the top of the ticket, but the mission hasn’t changed at all,” he said. “And by the way, I’m not going anywhere, I’m gonna be campaign with her, with Kamala. I’m going to be working like hell, both as a sitting president getting legislation passed, as well as campaigning. And you know, we still need to save this democracy.”

Biden once against ratcheted up his extremist rhetoric against former President Donald Trump after Trump was nearly killed in an assassination attempt earlier this month.

“Trump is still a danger to the community, he’s a danger to the nation,” Biden claimed, later adding: “And, uh, and, and and I want you to know, I won’t be on the ticket, but I’m still going to be fully, fully engaged.”

“I’ve got six months left of my presidency, I’m determined to get as much done as I possibly can both foreign policy and domestic policy, keep lowering costs for families, continue to speak out on guns, and child care, elder care, prescription drugs and climate,” he said. “Climate still is the existential threat that we face. And we have, if we don’t, we don’t win this thing, it’s all in jeopardy.”

“And I know, I’ll be doing whatever Kamala wants me and needs me to do in addition, so let me be real clear: we’re still fighting in this fight together,” he concluded. “I’m not going anywhere. And I want you to know I’ve always, you’ve always had my back. I promise you, I will always have your back. And I’m anxious to for you all to hear from Kamala. So thank you.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
