“Boy Meets World” actress Trina McGee shared the heartbreaking news that she suffered a miscarriage after announcing to the world that she’d gotten pregnant at the age of 54.
During the now-55-year-old actress’ appearance Monday on “The Tamron Hall Show,” McGee — who played Angela Moore on the popular ‘90s sitcom — told Hall that she was no longer pregnant after previously sharing that she was expecting with husband Marcello Thedford.
“I did lose the baby,” McGee told the host. “It wasn’t expected, it was closer to the end of the first trimester. We don’t have any real reasons why.”
“I was still so grateful to have the experience of being able to conceive at this age and this time,” she added, noting going through “a lot of depression” after it happened.

“There are so many things that come when you really want a family and you want your family to be complete,” McGee continued. “There are so many dreams that you have. It was hard to face the fact that that’s not going to happen at this point in the junction.”
The star already has three children: Ramia, 33, Langston, 30, and Ezra, 26. She shares two with ex-husband Courtland Davis, the third from a previous relationship, and was very much looking forward to having a child with Thedford, as previously reported.

“There were so many women who, even at 55 and older, still want to get pregnant or don’t want to be boxed into this ‘geriatric pregnancy’ thing,” McGee said. “I don’t know if I’m here to give advice for everybody, because everybody’s body is different, and you should listen to your doctors.”
“Part of me doesn’t ever want to go through this again,” she added. “The conclusion I came to is, we’ll just keep loving each other, if something happens that way, fine, but I don’t want to put another anxiety on myself. Sometimes it really is better to let go and let God.”
Earlier this year, McGee opened up about being pregnant again at 54 after her announcement caused a stir online.
“I have been saying I wanted to have a baby with my current husband of 16 years for quite a while,” McGee told Entertainment Tonight.
She went on to tell the outlet she visited “shamans” in Belize who recommended elixirs and natural remedies for reversing signs of early menopause.
“The number one thing for me is to not partake in any stress and stay away from negativity as much as I can, and that pertains to what I put on TV… what I look at on my phone, you know, there’s so much drama and violence and negativity out there as soon as you turn on the screen,” McGee said. “I really want to be pointed when I turn on the screen; what I’m watching. Because stress, for me, is the biggest factor.”
