CBS Correspondent Suddenly Wants To Discuss How Media Helped Cover Up Biden’s Cognitive Decline

CBS News National/Legal correspondent Jan Crawford said the quiet part out loud — during a panel discussion on the network’s Sunday morning talk show “Face the Nation” — when she conceded that the most “under-reported” story of 2024 was President Joe Biden’s “obvious cognitive decline.”

Guest host and chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett raised the topic during Sunday morning’s broadcast, looking first to Crawford for her take on which story went unreported or under-reported in 2024 — and her reaction was immediate.

Outkick founder Clay Travis shared video of the exchange along with the following caption: “CBS News journalist roundtable says Joe Biden’s clear mental and physical decline was the most underreported story of 2024. But true self reflection would demands question — why was that? The answer is because most legacy media are Democrat propagandists.”

“Under-covered and under-reported, that would be, to me, Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in the televised debate,” Crawford began.

“At the presidential debate with Donald Trump?” Major Garrett pressed her to continue.

“Unquestioned,” Crawford confirmed. “And it’s starting to emerge now that his advisers kind of managed his limitations, which has been reported in ‘The Wall Street Journal,’ for four years. And yet he insisted that he could still run for president.”

“We should have much more forcefully questioned whether he was fit for office for another four years, which could have led to a primary for the Democrats. It could have changed the scope of the entire election,” Crawford added, noting that legacy media’s complete lack of curiosity regarding Biden’s obvious decline may have contributed to the Democrats’ loss in 2024.

“Yet still, incredibly, we read in ‘The Washington Post’ that his advisers are saying that he regrets that he dropped out of the race … that he thinks he could have beaten Trump. And I think that is either delusional or they’re gaslighting the American people,” Crawford concluded.

Robert Costa pointed out then that Biden’s position — and the position taken by some family members and aides — has always been that he is fine and not at all impaired.

“President Biden has said repeatedly he was sick during the debate June 27th in Atlanta,” Costa noted. “And he’s always been fine and he leaves [office] fine. That is his position, the position of many of his top aides as well, even though there is that reporting.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
