Chris Pratt Pays Tribute To Those Who Were ‘Taken From Us’ In 9/11 Terrorist Attack

Chris Pratt paid tribute to those who were “taken from us” in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and said we must never forget what happened that “fateful day.”

In a post on Wednesday on Instagram, the 45-year-old actor took time out to remember the lives who were taken in the attack and shared several images from the aftermath of the tragedy of that day.

“September 11, 2001,” Pratt wrote along with an American flag emoji. “A day that will forever hold a place in our nation’s history. As I reflect on the tragedy of that fateful day, I grieve for each and every innocent soul that was taken from us.”

“It is our duty to remember, honor, and keep their memory alive,” he added. “Our lives were forever changed at 8:46 am 23 years ago, and we will #NeverForget.”

The post included images of firefighters embracing while covered in dust from the collapse of Twin Towers of the World Trade Center complex after al-Qaeda terrorists flew airplanes into the buildings.

Another image showed the back of a police officer sitting alone in what looked like the remains of a restaurant or bar in Ground Zero surrounded by all the destruction and rubble from the attack. Photo credit for the pictures went to “Krista Niles/The New York Times, Tyler Hicks/The New York Times.”

To mark the 21st anniversary of 9/11, Pratt posted a message for all those who died in the terrorist attacks — who “risked their lives for us and our country.”

“Today we remember those who woke up, kissed their families goodbye, and went to work without realizing they wouldn’t return,” the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star captioned his post. It included a photo showing rows and rows of American flags on a hill as he honored all those who got up that morning, answered duty’s call, and never returned home.

“Today we remember those who risked their lives for us and our country,” he added. “Forever in our hearts and in memory.[American Flag emoji] #911.”

The “Tomorrow War” star often shares messages on social media honoring members of our military who gave the ultimate sacrifice, as The Daily Wire previously reported.

“Today we pay tribute and remember all of the brave men and women who have laid down their lives in service of our nation,” Pratt captioned his Memorial Day post. “I urge you all take a moment today to remember those who fought for us. #MemorialDay.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
