‘Constitutional Crisis’: White House Slams ‘Judicial Activist’ Injunctions Against Trump

While legacy media claim there is a “constitutional crisis” in the Trump administration, the real crisis comes from federal judges blocking President Donald Trump’s executive orders, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Wednesday.

“The real constitutional crisis is taking place within our judicial branch,” Leavitt said at a press briefing, “where district court judges in liberal districts across the country are abusing their power to unilaterally block President Trump’s basic executive authority.”

More than 40 complaints have been issued against Trump’s executive orders, including his directives limiting birthright citizenship, freezing federal spending, prohibiting transgender-identifying people from serving in the military, requiring federal prisons to house inmates based on biological sex, and rolling back diversity, equity, and inclusion, among others.

Over the weekend, federal District Court Judge Paul A. Engelmayer of the Southern District of New York, who was appointed by President Barack Obama, issued an order temporarily blocking the Department of Government Efficiency from accessing Treasury Department records containing sensitive data.

“We believe these judges are acting as judicial activists, rather than honest arbiters of the law, and they have issued at least 12 injunctions against this administration in the past 14 days, often without citing any evidence or grounds for their lawsuits,” Leavitt said. “This is part of a larger concerted effort by Democrat activists and nothing more than a continuation of the weaponization of justice against President Trump.”

DOGE chief Elon Musk and Vice President JD Vance took to X to criticize the ruling.

“A corrupt judge protecting corruption,” Musk said. “[Engelmayer] needs to be impeached NOW!”

“If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation, that would be illegal,” Vance posted Sunday. “If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that’s also illegal. Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.”

“Maybe we have to look at the judges, because I think that’s a very serious violation,” Trump said in the Oval Office on Tuesday.

Leavitt offered a “news flash” to the “activist” judges.

“Seventy-seven million Americans voted to elect this president, and each injunction is an abuse of the rule of law in an attempt to thwart the will of the people,” the press secretary said. “As the president clearly stated in the Oval Office yesterday, we will comply with the law and the court, but we will also continue to seek every legal remedy to ultimately overturn these radical injunctions and ensure President Trump’s policies can be enacted.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
