Doocy Corners Karine Jean-Pierre: ‘Who Ordered White House Officials To Cover Up’ Biden’s Decline?

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy blistered White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre with a series of questions about President Joe Biden’s abrupt decision to exit the 2024 presidential race and the apparent concerted effort by the White House to hide his cognitive decline.

The exchange occurred hours before President Biden addressed the nation about his decision to exit the 2024 presidential race, and began on a lighter note, with Doocy jabbing at Jean-Pierre over the fact that Biden had dropped out of the race having yet to make any real effort to explain his decision to the American people.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Jean-Pierre remarked, “I haven’t seen you in a while.”

“Well, you guys haven’t had a press briefing since President Biden dropped out of the race,” Doocy joked, prompting laughter from other members of the Press Corps.

Doocy later pivoted to address the 180-degree change exhibited by both President Biden and his administration and surrogates, dramatically shifting from full-steam-ahead-Biden-is-definitely-running-for-reelection to the letter posted on X announcing his decision to step aside and not accept the Democratic Party’s nomination.

“It would seem that people in this White House knew that President Biden was slipping, and it was hidden from the American people,” Doocy began, adding, “So who ordered White House officials to cover up a declining President?”

“I know that that is a narrative that you love,” Jean-Pierre replied, and then gave a series of non-answers referencing Biden’s “patriotism” in stepping aside and suggested that Doocy might learn something if he would just watch Biden’s Oval Office address later that evening.

During Biden’s address, which aired several hours later, the president failed to give any real explanation for his decision to leave the presidential race.
