‘Era Of Jacka**ery’: James Carville Blows Up At Democrats After GOP Clinches House Control

Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville absolutely unloaded on his party after the news broke that Republicans had managed to retain control of a majority of seats in the House of Representatives, securing a trifecta in the 2024 general election.

In a video made for broadcast at Politicon, Carville told Democrats that they needed to account for their failures in 2024 — and explain to constituents and donors what they would do differently going forward — if they wanted to be taken seriously.

“We have no legislative power, we have no executive power, we have no judicial power. So when you’re out of power, you’re an opposition party,” Carville explained. “Then go and tell all the people that are sending you and asking you for money, justify what you did. Justify what you did wrong, and tell us what you’re going to do different.”

“What you’ve done ain’t worth a s**t. Get your head around that. And all of the Washington-based Democrats farting around, going to wine and cheese parties, and talking about how misogynistic the race is — get your a** out of Washington, and go work on a 2026 campaign and do penance to make up for your godd*** arrogance and stupidity,” Carville continued.

“We’re going to say we told you so. We told you this identity s*** was disaster. We told you to get out in front of public safety issues. You didn’t,” he added, arguing that Democrats had been stupid to embrace the “Defund the Police” crowd.

Blasting his party for repeatedly failing to address the very real public safety concerns of the people, Carville complained that far too many had gotten sucked into identity politics and what he referred to as a “stupid Godd*** identitarian mission.”

He concluded by labeling the Democratic Party’s current phase of development as “the entire era of Jacka**ery.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
