Former Disney Channel Star Skai Jackson was arrested at Universal Studios Hollywood on Friday, August 9, for what has been described as a domestic incident.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that police responded in the evening to the theme park where the 22-year-old actress was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery.
“While inside the Universal Studios Theme Park, a domestic incident occurred involving Skai Jackson,” an LASD spokesperson told the Los Angeles Times. “Based on the initial investigation, it was determined Ms. Jackson was the primary aggressor and was arrested for misdemeanor spousal battery.”
Jackson was booked into the West Hollywood police station, the outlet noted.
She was later cited and released hours after posting a $20,000 bond, Fox 26 Houston noted.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office now must decide whether to file against the Disney star, who’s facing a potential misdemeanor charge, Page Six noted.

Surveillance video allegedly showed Jackson pushing her boyfriend more than once and that’s when security personnel at the park contacted the police, USA Today noted.
However, Jackson and her boyfriend have reportedly denied any wrongdoing to TMZ and Page Six, with the actress reportedly sharing that the two are expecting a child together and are engaged.
The young star is probably best known for her roles on hit Disney Channel shows like “Jesse” from 2011-2015, where she played Zuri Ross, and “Bunk’d” in 2015.
Since then, she’s had smaller roles in such movies/TV shows as “The Smurfs” (2011), “Boardwalk Empire” (2010), and “Royal Pains” (2009), according to IMDb.
Her current project is listed as a 2023 movie called “The Man in the White Van.”

However, THR noted that the film has yet to come out and will hit theaters in October.
Jackson’s arraignment is scheduled for October 11 at Van Nuys Superior Court, Fox 26 noted.
