G7 Urges ‘Restraint’, ‘De-Escalation’ After Iran Terrorizes Israel With 180+ Missile Barrage

The leaders of the G7 urged Israel to show “restraint” when responding to Iran’s Islamic regime firing 180+ ballistic missiles at Israel this week.

The G7 — Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States — condemned “in the strongest terms Iran’s direct military attack against Israel, which constitutes a serious threat to regional stability.”

The group said that Iran’s use of terrorist proxy groups throughout the region needed to stop, but warned against “retaliation” that it argued “risks fueling uncontrollable escalation in the Middle East, which is in no one’s interest.”

“Therefore, we call on all regional players to act responsibly and with restraint,” the statement said. “We encourage all parties to engage constructively to de-escalate the current tensions.”

The group then demanded “an immediate ceasefire in Gaza” where Israel is conducting military operations against Hamas, the Iranian-backed genocidal terrorist organization that massacred 1,200 people during their terror attack one year ago.

They also said that they were “deeply concerned about the situation in Lebanon” where Israel is rooting out Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed terrorist group that is arguably the largest, most advanced, and most heavily armed terrorist group in the world.

Hezbollah has fired approximately 9,000 missiles, rockets, and drones at northern Israel since Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attack which has forced tens of thousands of Israelis to be displaced from their homes for nearly a full year.

President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that the statement from the G7 would only come out after all the countries, including the Biden-Harris administration, agreed with what it said.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said in a post on X that the statement from the G7 was “the 1930’s all over again.”

“When it comes to Iran, the regime is a theocracy dedicated to destroying the Jewish state, driving the west [sic] out of the Middle East, and stopping reconciliation between the Arab world and Israel,” he said. “The Ayatollah is a religious Nazi. Iran is not trying to build peaceful nuclear power plants. The regime is trying to build a nuclear bomb to achieve its religious objectives. If you don’t understand that, you’re not listening to what Iran is saying and you’re not watching what they are doing throughout the world.”

“The idea of telling Israel what targets to strike ignores reality and is the mentality that existed in the 1930’s,” he continued. “To my friends in Israel, one holocaust directed at the Jewish people is enough. Do what you have to do to defend yourselves against those who would kill you simply because you are Jewish.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
