Kamala Agrees To Interview With Biased CNN Anchor, Will Bring Tim Walz With Her

Vice President Kamala Harris will finally sit down for an interview later this week, nearly 40 days after she became the Democrats’ de facto nominee, and she’ll have her running mate by her side.

Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will sit down with CNN anchor Dana Bash on Thursday as the vice president has been slammed for refusing to talk to the media or hold a press conference since being crowned the Democratic presidential nominee following President Joe Biden’s exit from the 2024 race. It appears the interview will be pre-taped and will air at 9:00 p.m. ET, according to CNN.

“On Thursday — 39 days since being installed as the Democrat nominee — Kamala will sit for her first formal interview* **” the Trump campaign posted on X. “*Joint, since she’s not competent enough to do it on her own. **Taped, so her handlers have time to play damage control.”

Bash has been ripped for covering for Democrats, most recently when she attempted to shift blame away from the Biden-Harris administration and onto Trump for the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. The CNN anchor also praised President Biden earlier this month for “a mic-drop moment” when he took a jab at Trump over the release of American hostages in Russia. But Biden’s criticism of Trump was based on a fabrication, a fact Bash omitted as she cheered the president’s answer.

Harris promised in early August that she would have her team schedule an interview “before the end of the month.” The last day of August is on Saturday.

Trump has repeatedly blasted Harris for avoiding media appearances as he regularly takes questions from reporters. The Republican nominee said earlier this month that Harris “doesn’t do interviews because she can’t answer questions. I don’t know how she debates.”

“I hear she’s sort of a nasty person, but not a good debater,” Trump added. “But we’ll see, because we’ll be debating her, I guess, in the pretty near future. It’s gonna be announced fairly soon, but we’ll be debating her.”

Harris’ past interviews have resulted in awkward moments and created more hurdles for the vice president to get over — even when she has sat down for interviews with networks friendly to Democrats. In a 2021 interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, Harris infamously deflected when she was asked why she hadn’t visited the southern border since being tasked by Biden to address the “root causes” of illegal immigration.

“You haven’t been to the border,” Hold said.

“And I haven’t been to Europe. And I mean, I don’t – I don’t understand the point that you’re making,” Harris said.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
