Kamala Lashes Out At Trump During DNC Acceptance Speech: ‘Trump Tried To Throw Away Your Votes’

Vice President Kamala Harris accepted the Democratic nomination for president in Chicago on Thursday night, spending much of her acceptance speech attacking former President Donald Trump.

During her speech, she claimed that there would be “serious” consequences if Trump was elected in November and attacked him on issues ranging from abortion to border security. Harris became the Democratic nominee without getting a single vote from Democratic primary voters.

“Fellow Americans, this election is not only the most important of our lives, it is one of the most important in the life of our nation. In many ways, Donald Trump is an unserious man. But the consequences of putting Donald Trump back in the White House are extremely serious,” she said.

She said that Trump’s first term in office was filled with “chaos and calamity” and attacked him over the January 6 riot.

“Donald Trump tried to throw away your votes,” she claimed. “When he failed, he sent an armed mob to the United States capitol where they assaulted law enforcement officers.”

During his speech on January 6, Trump urged his supporters to protest the 2020 election in a peaceful manner.

“Consider what he intends to do if we give him power again. Consider his explicit intent to set free violent extremists who assaulted those law enforcement officers at the capitol,” Harris said. “His explicit intent to jail journalists, political opponents, and anyone he sees as the enemy. His explicit intent to deploy our active duty military against our own citizens.”

Under the Biden-Harris administration, peaceful pro-life protesters have been targeted for prosecution, with several getting lengthy prison sentences. As attorney general of California, Harris also ordered the home of activist David Daleiden raided after he exposed Planned Parenthood officials appearing to discuss the sale of aborted baby parts.

During her speech, Harris criticized Trump over his opposition to a border bill put forth earlier this year that was opposed by many conservative Republicans. She also promised to “create an earned pathway to citizenship and secure our border.”

Trump responded to a number of Harris posts on Truth Social, specifically targeting her over her border bill criticisms.

“The Border Bill is one of the worst ever written, would have allowed millions of people into our Country, and it’s only a political ploy by her! It legalizes Illegal Immigration, and is a TOTAL DISASTER, WEAK AND INEFFECTIVE! She doesn’t need a Bill,” he said. “As President, Crooked Joe and her could have just said, “CLOSE THE BORDER!” like I did – I didn’t have a Bill, I didn’t need a Bill. The Border Patrol respected me, they did their job. We had the Safest Border in Recorded History!”

The DNC began on Monday with thousands of far-Left protesters descending into Chicago for the event.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
