Kamala Nuked For Having A Beer With Colbert While Hurricane Milton Careens Toward Florida

Vice President Kamala Harris’ planned media blitz has not been going according to, well, plan. The Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential candidate-by-default made a series of unforced errors — despite the fact that most of her interviews gave “softball” a bad name — and still managed to top them all by cracking open a beer with “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert.
“Cheers,” she captioned her post.

At any other time, a presidential candidate having a beer with a television host might be seen simply as a political stunt — an effort to connect with voters — but with Hurricane Milton barreling toward Florida’s Gulf Coast, many found her actions to be just the latest in a series of politically tone-deaf moves.

“Biden is on TV begging people to evacuate coastal areas to avoid dying. The woman who pretended to be president and running disaster response a few days ago is laughing on Colbert now. She’s so bad at this,” X user @sunnyright posted in response.

Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro commented, “She is focused, laserlike, on the needs of hurricane victims. So focused that Ron DeSantis MUST call her. See below for her level of focus.”

Harris has been more or less behind the eight ball since Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida almost two weeks ago, spiraling inland and leaving a path of floods and devastation across much of eastern Tennessee, western North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. And while storm surges were wiping out beachfront properties in Florida — while floods and mudslides destroyed everything from homes to major roads and bridges in Tennessee and North Carolina — Harris was attending campaign fundraisers and prepping for her appearance on the sex-heavy podcast, “Call Her Daddy.”
She then attempted to pick a fight with Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) over the response to Hurricane Helene — claiming that he’d refused to take her calls — but was undercut by both DeSantis and President Joe Biden.
