King Charles III Rushed Out Of Royal Visit Over Security Scare

King Charles III and Queen Camilla were rushed out of a royal visit in the Channel Islands on Monday over a security scare.

During the royal couple’s first trip on Monday to the country since he took the throne in 2022 — they were visiting the Jersey expo event — they were each pulled away by their security team and ushered into the Pomme d’Or hotel, the New York Post reported.

In one clip, the queen is seen enjoying some ice cream when a member of her security gently removes her from the area.

Meanwhile, the king was speaking to a local business owner before his security personnel approached the monarch and he was told “he had to leave immediately” over a “small issue of concern,” the Telegraph reported.

“He stopped at the stall and said ‘Ooh sea salt’ and I said ‘Come and have a chat, Sir.’ Then his security appeared and grabbed me and said ‘He has to go, now,'” the business owner told the outlet.

“His security appeared and grabbed me and said ‘he has to go now,’” the business man added. “He didn’t seem panicked but he was quite stern. They just ushered him out.”

Later in the day, their royal visit resumed after what was described as a “brief pause.”

The security scare reportedly ended up being a false alarm, but security tensions will reportedly remain high following the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump on Saturday during his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, leaving one of his supporters dead along with injuring two others.

Former BBC Royal Correspondent Michael Cole told GB News there was a “heightened sense of security concern” for the king and queen after the assassination attempt on the former president.

“I’m sure there’s a sort of heightened sense of security concern because of events in America, which we know about from Saturday night,” Cole said.

“But what stands out for me is the coolness of the Queen,” he added. “She was eating an ice cream at the time, one of her aides whispered in her ear that there was a security concern, and she was taken away with the King to a nearby hotel.”

On Sunday, Trump published a post to Truth Social that said: “Our love goes out to the other victims and their families. We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded, and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so horribly killed.”

In the same message, the former president emphasized that “it is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
