Madison police said that the shooter is dead as numerous emergency responders were on the scene at Abundant Life Christian School (ALCS), according to ABC News.
ALCS was beginning its last week before Christmas break. The school offers education for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
“The Madison Police Department is investigating a shooting at Abundant Life Christian School. Multiple injuries have been reported. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. More information will be released as it is available,” the Madison Police Department said in a statement posted to social media. “We currently need people to avoid the area. Roads will be blocked off along 4900 Buckeye Road. Drivers and community members are asked to find alternate routes in travel is needed in this area.”
