Oprah Tells DNC Crowd ‘There Is No American Dream’ Without Abortion

Billionaire Oprah Winfrey spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday evening and told the crowd that “there is no American Dream” without abortion.

The Democrats’ platform indicates that they support abortion through all nine months of pregnancy without any restrictions — a far more radical position than most Americans hold.

“If you do not have autonomy over this — ” Winfrey told the DNC while gesturing toward her body, “if you cannot control when and how you choose to bring your children into this world, and how they are raised and supported, there is no American Dream.”

Winfrey went on to praise abortion advocates as the “new freedom fighters.”

“The women and men who are battling to keep us from going back to a time of desperation and shame and stone-cold fear, they are the new freedom fighters,” she said. “And make no mistake: They are the best of America.”

The DNC has had a running theme of abortion. As highlighted by The Daily Wire, a Planned Parenthood bus provided free abortions and vasectomies about a half mile down the street from the convention on Monday and Tuesday.

The mobile abortion clinic reportedly provided eight abortions and nine vasectomies over the first two days of the DNC.

The theme of Winfrey’s speech, generally, was “freedom,” which she argued is an important right to Democrats, while Republicans want to restrict Americans’ freedom, she claimed. Giving one example, Winfrey cited so-called book bans, referring to Republicans working to remove sexually explicit books from the classroom of young children.

“I am so honored to have been asked to speak on tonight’s theme about what matters most to me, to you, and all of us Americans: freedom,” she said. “There are people who want you to see our country as a nation of us against them. People who want to scare you, who want to rule you. People who’d have you believe that books are dangerous and assault rifles are safe, that there’s a right way to worship and a wrong way to love. People who seek first to divide and then to conquer. But here’s the thing: when we stand together, it is impossible to conquer us.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
