Report: Kamala picks Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as VP hopeful
Hopes to bolster Midwest support
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has been picked by Kamala Harris as her vice president hopeful, according to a report.
The legacy wire service AP said Harris decided on Walz, and an announcement is expected over the next few hours.
The report cited three people “familiar” with Harris’s decisions in saying they two will appear together at a rally.
“It’s a fascinating pick that really has some people scratching their heads,” said Bret Baier of Fox News.
“I think it raises some questions about the Jewish vote and perhaps how afraid the Democratic Party is,” a reference to Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish, and was not selected.
