Senator Cortez Masto Won’t Answer If Democrats Talk Down To Voters

Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) would not answer a question on Sunday when pressed about whether her party has a problem with talking down to voters.

The moment came during an interview on CBS News’ “Face The Nation” when host Margaret Brennan asked her about President Joe Biden’s “garbage” insult against Republican voters last week.

“We played what the current president, Joe Biden, said about Trump supporters, and some have compared that, Republicans have compared that to what Hillary Clinton said about a ‘basket of deplorables,” Brennan said.

“Does your party have a disdain problem in talking down to working class voters in particular?” she asked.

Cortez Masto did not directly answer the question and instead claimed that Biden corrected himself.

“Well, I can tell you here in Nevada in general – first of all, let’s just say, but – we know this, that President Biden clarified his statement, and Kamala Harris has made it very clear she wants to represent everyone,” she claimed.

“Kamala Harris made it very clear moving forward that she wants to represent everyone, right, no matter whether you voted for her or not,” she continued.

“And whoever you vote for, you shouldn’t be criticized for that,” she added. “And she’s made that very clear.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
