Sunny Hostin ripped into “uneducated white voters” on Wednesday’s broadcast of “The View,” claiming that racism had played a major role in the 2024 presidential campaign and complaining that she was “profoundly disturbed” to see Vice President Kamala Harris rejected by the American people.
Hostin claimed that the re-election of former President Donald Trump — the only person besides Grover Cleveland to win two non-consecutive terms in the White House — meant that her daughter would grow up with “less rights” than her, and that Hostin herself would have “less civil rights” than her father.

"As a woman color," Hostin says she's "not surprised" by American's sexism and racism.

Hostin went on to repeat baseless claims that Trump would put women into internment camps and argued that the 2024 presidential race, rather than a referendum on the failed policies of President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris, was, in fact, “a referendum on cultural resentment.”
Cohost Ana Navarro agreed that racism and sexism had played a major role in Harris’ defeat, adding, “I have no regrets.”

Cohost Whoopi Goldberg weighed in then, first to complain about how Trump often mispronounces “Kamala” and then to double down on her own refusal to say Trump’s name at all.
“He’s now the president. I’m still not going to say his name. That’s not going to change,” she said. She also claimed without any evidence, “Too many people that I know died trying to vote.”
Hostin jumped back in, blaming “uneducated white women” for Trump’s decisive victory — in both the Electoral College and the popular vote — and claimed that black women had tried to save the country but it was not enough.
Cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin, who self-identifies as a Republican despite admitting that she too voted for Harris, stood up to Hostin and argued that identity politics was one of the reasons Democrats had lost.
