Top Former Kamala Aide Calls For Biden To Resign So She Can Be President

Jamal Simmons, a former communications director for Kamala Harris, said during an interview over the weekend that President Joe Biden should resign so that Vice President Kamala Harris can be president.

Simmons made the remarks during a Sunday interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” while discussing Harris’ loss to President-elect Donald Trump last week.

“Joe Biden’s been a phenomenal president,” he claimed. “He’s lived up to so many of the promises he’s made. There’s one promise left that he could fulfill, being a transitional figure. He could resign the presidency in the next 30 days, make Kamala Harris the president of the United States.”

“It would absolve him from having to oversee the January 6 transition, right, of her own defeat,” he continued. “And it would make sure that — it would dominate the news at a point where Democrats have to learn drama and transparency and doing things that the public want to see.”

“This is the moment for us to change the entire perspective of how Democrats operate,” he added.

Simmons also suggested that Harris could potentially be nominated to the Supreme Court.

“Well, the Supreme Court might happen,” he claimed. “I don’t know if it will, but I think this is something that’s in Joe Biden’s control.”

“And if he did it, it would — again, it would fulfill his promise, his last promise,” he added. “It would give Kamala Harris the chance to be the 47th president of the United States of America. It would disrupt all of Donald Trump’s paraphernalia, right? He would have to rebrand everything.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
