Trump Creates Task Force for Huge Celebration of America’s 250th Birthday

America is so back.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing a task force to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the American independence, which will take place on July 4, 2026.

While the left has tried to pummel any love for American history, Trump’s move ensures anti-American activists won’t have the last word. The anniversary is a perfect, symbolic occasion to announce that the “1619 Project” era of warping American history and turning it into a long tale of oppression is wholly over.

We will have a new birth of freedom after all.

According to the order, the commission is tasked with creating a “grand celebration of the semiquincentennial of the ratification of the Declaration of Independence” and will be called Task Force 250.

The aim of the task force is to “provide a grand celebration worthy of the momentous occasion of the 250th anniversary of American independence.”

According to Fox News Digital, the commission is being modeled after the bicentennial celebration of 1976.

In addition to Task Force 250, the executive order will also bring back another initiative that was created during Trump’s first term but were spiked by former President Joe Biden’s administration.

Trump will bring back the National Garden of American Heroes. This project was set to create a space with statues of great Americans from history. The original list had 244 names, including John and Samuel Adams, Neil Armstrong, Daniel Boone, James Fenimore Cooper, Jimmy Doolittle, Frank Sinatra, and many others.

On top of all that, the order also adds reinstates additional protections for monuments from vandals. The order cited “pro-Hamas-related vandalism of historically significant public monuments” and the “vandalism of the exterior of the Department of the Treasury and of statues in Lafayette Square” in the District of Columbia among other incidents.

These moves undoubtedly come in response to the Left’s war on history and attempts during the last phase of the first Trump term and the four years of Biden’s presidency, to change, warp, and outright purge any celebration of America’s past from public spaces.

That was part of a longer term, leftwing effort to rewrite America’s past to fit with their ideology as I wrote in my book, “The War on History: The Conspiracy to Rewrite America’s Past.”

That movement crashed on the rocks of absurdity as the Left took the obvious leap from attacking Confederate generals to waging woke Jihad on almost every past of America’s past that was once celebrated—from Columbus to Abraham Lincoln. The narrative the Left peddled was that all American history was based on racism and oppression and that even the most venerated heroes of the past were complicit. Even ending slavery wasn’t good enough.  They left no stone unturned, literally.

At the University of Wisconsin-Madison a “racist” rock was removed from its location at great expense.

Countless names were changed. Statues were destroyed by mobs or removed by the institutions that should have been fighting to protect them.

But with Trump’s march back into the White House, there is potential for a sea change, a counterrevolution to celebrate America and what it means to be an American like never before.

Mt. McKinley has had its rightful name restored. The Gulf of Mexico is now the Gulf of America. And undoubtedly there will be many more symbolic affirmations that this great and exceptional country is going to stop feeling ashamed of itself.

It will instead move forward with pride, honor, and an unshakeable belief that what’s ahead of us will be even greater than what was before.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
