Former President Donald Trump warned the Islamic Republic of Iran during the early morning hours on Wednesday that it was playing with fire by continuing to target him following two assassination attempts that he has survived in recent months.
The remarks from Trump came after his campaign revealed that he had a meeting on Tuesday with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) regarding “real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him in an effort to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States.”
“Big threats on my life by Iran,” Trump posted on X. “The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting. Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone. I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before.”
“Thank you to Congress for unanimously approving far more money to Secret Service – Zero ‘NO’ Votes, strictly bipartisan,” he added. “Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something. An attack on a former President is a Death Wish for the attacker!”

The remarks from Trump come after federal law enforcement officials foiled an assassination plot against Trump in July by a Pakistani man with alleged ties to Iran.

Iran also hacked the Trump campaign and sent the stolen information to the former Biden-Harris campaign and to media organizations.
The former president was shot in the ear during an assassination attempt in mid-July at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump was almost the target of another gunman last week when a man armed with a rifle was caught hiding near Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, waiting hundreds of yards from the former president.
