Tulsi Gabbard Joins The Republican Party

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) announced this week that she is now joining the Republican Party after seeing how extreme her former party has become.

Gabbard made the announcement with former President Donald Trump at a rally Tuesday evening in Greensboro, North Carolina, a key swing state in the upcoming election.

She said that the Democrat Party has become “completely unrecognizable” in recent years as it now embraces censorship, open borders, and weaponizing law enforcement under politicians like Vice President Kamala Harris.

“It is because of my love for our country and specifically because of the leadership that President Trump has brought to transform the Republican Party and bring it back to the party of the people and the party of peace that I’m proud to stand here with you today, President Trump, and announce that I’m joining the Republican Party,” Gabbard said.

The former Democrat presidential nominee left the party in 2022 and became an independent because of the party’s embrace of “wokeness,” its hostility to people of faith, and its “racializing every issue.”

“I am joining the party of the people, the party of equality, the party that was founded to fight against and end slavery in this country,” she said with Trump on stage. “It is the party of common sense and the party that is led by a president who has the courage and strength to fight for peace.”

“So as we stand here today, we have 14 days until the most historic election of our lives,” she continued. “And my message to my fellow Americans, regardless of your political affiliation, now is the time for us to stand together to save our country. There is nothing less than that that’s on the line. A vote for President Trump is a vote for a big, open tent party that welcomes people from all backgrounds and all walks of life.”

“A vote for President Trump is a vote to express our deep love for our country and our appreciation for our God-given rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution,” she added. “A vote for President Trump is a vote for secure borders and safe communities, and a vote for President Trump is a vote for peace here in America and around the world.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
