Veteran Injured In Abbey Gate Attack Has Had It With Joe Biden

Marine veteran Tyler Vargas-Andrews, who was nearly killed in the 2021 suicide bombing outside Kabul Airport that took the lives of 13 American service members, made it clear that he has had it with President Joe Biden taking victory laps as his one-term presidency comes to a close.

Biden will leave office with a dismally low approval rating — in the most recent polls, 61% of Americans say they view his presidency as a failure — but still, he gave an exit speech on Wednesday claiming to have delivered on his promises of a stronger economy and a safer world.

He also took to X to send a similar message, saying, “It will take time to feel the full impact of all that my Administration has done. But the seeds we planted will grow and bloom for decades to come.”

Vargas-Andrews took a different position on the matter, responding to Biden’s claim with a post of his own.

“I and so many others felt it over 3 years ago, President Biden,” he wrote, sharing a photo of himself in a hospital bed at Walter Reed Hospital and a photo of himself kneeling beside the grave of Marine Staff Sergeant Darin “Taylor” Hoover, who was killed in the Abbey Gate attack.

Conservative pundit Rob Smith had a similar reaction, posting photos of the thirteen service members who lost their lives in Kabul that day.

Biden and his surrogates have repeatedly refused to take responsibility for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 — and the move to close down the more easily defended Bagram Air Base, which forced American service members to coordinate mass evacuations through a densely populated area.

The attack at Abbey Gate killed 13 service members — two of whom were Vargas-Andrews’ friends — and more than 170 Afghans, leaving hundreds more injured.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
