Walz Goes Full Knucklehead, Reveals Strange ‘Nickname’ He Has For Kamala On His Phone

Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) revealed the strange nickname he uses on his phone for Vice President Kamala Harris, who chose him to be her running mate on the 2024 Democratic ticket.

Walz made the revelation during a Monday appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” prompted by a discussion about the fact that he had initially missed her call on the day she asked him to join her in the presidential race.

“And then is she in your contacts now so that doesn’t happen again?” Kimmel asked, referencing the missed call situation.

“She is, yes, she is,” Walz replied, but Kimmel did not just leave it at that.

“How — may I ask how you have vice president listed in your contacts?” Kimmel pressed.

Walz closed his eyes for a split second, then replied, “It’s my dry cleaner.”

Kimmel laughed, as did the audience.

“That’s what it says,” Walz continued, laughing too.

“Is it really?” Kimmel asked, and Walz nodded his head. “Is that right?”

“Yeah, so —” Walz tried to explain.

“My dry cleaner,” Kimmel repeated, prompting more laughter.

“They told me to come up with something,” Walz shrugged, adding, “And that was all I could think of.”

“Well, you’re probably going to have to change it now,” Kimmel joked, and Walz agreed — but Kimmel wasn’t quite ready to let the bit go. “But then what happens if your dry cleaner needs to get in touch with you? You’re not going to be —”

“I didn’t think that far ahead on that,” Walz admitted.

Kimmel was not finished with the laundry references, however, and wrapped up the interview with what he claimed was the highest compliment he could think of to give: “Honestly, and I can come up with no higher compliment than this, but you seem to me like the kind of guy who cleans the lint out of the dryer after every use.”

Walz also made headlines when, at a fundraiser at California Governor Gavin Newsom’s home, he called for the end of the Electoral College.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
