‘We are devastated’: Missing American hiker found dead in South African national park
'An autopsy will be conducted to determine the possible cause of death'
(NEWS24) — A 20-year-old woman from the US was found dead on a hiking trail on Devil’s Peak, the Western Cape police said on Sunday evening.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie said a search party found the woman’s body at around 14:00.
“The body of the missing hiker was found in an area which is part of Devil’s Peak, and was retrieved by EMS helicopter,” Pojie said.
