‘We’re Not Giving You A Promotion’: Vance Points Out That For Kamala, ‘Day One Was 1,300 Days Ago’

Senator JD Vance (R-OH) pointed out during a Tuesday campaign stop that as far as Vice President Kamala Harris is concerned, “day one” is long past and she’s had ample time to do all of the things she is promising to do if elected president.

Vance, former President Donald Trump’s 2024 running mate, told a crowd in Michigan that Harris has had 1,300 days to make positive changes. “You had your chance, you FAILED and we’re not giving you a promotion,” he said.

“Kamala, I hate to break it to you, but ‘Day One’ was 1300 days ago. You’ve been Vice President for three and a half years, what the hell have you been doing during all that time?” Vance asked.

“The message from this crowd and this state of Michigan is: you had your chance, you FAILED and we’re not giving you a promotion,” he continued, adding, “And Donald J. Trump is coming back to clean up your mess, Kamala Harris, and it’s going to start right here in the state of Michigan.”

The crowd immediately erupted in chants of “USA! USA! USA!”

Vance posted on X on Tuesday about what Harris actually did on “day one” of the Biden-Harris administration, saying, “Kamala Harris opened the border on day one. Now Americans are dying at record numbers from fentanyl. She cast the deciding vote on the inflation explosion act. Now families can’t afford groceries or rent. She won’t do an interview because she can’t explain this record.”

Harris did finally announce her first interview since Biden’s ouster made her the Democratic Party’s de facto candidate — a joint interview alongside running mate Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) — with friendly CNN anchor Dana Bash.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
