‘An Affront To Human Decency’: Kimmel Ripped For Falsely Claiming Suspected Kirk Assassin Was MAGA

Critics are calling for the firing of ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel after he claimed the suspected assassin of Charlie Kirk was part of President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel stated in his monologue Tuesday night.

“In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving,” he continued. “On Friday, the White House flew the flags at half-staff, which got some criticism, but on a human level, you can see how hard the president is taking this.”

Kimmel then mockingly played a clip of Trump answering a question about how he was doing in the wake of Kirk’s assassination, in which Trump deflected to another subject, not willing to share his feelings in public. “This is not how an adult grieves the murder of somebody he called a friend. This is how a 4-year-old mourns a gold fish, okay,” Kimmel taunted.

Kimmel’s remarks catalyzed furious replies. X owner Elon Musk said succinctly, “Jimmy Kimmel is disgusting.”

“Alleged assassin of Charlie Kirk:  I was driven by leftist ideas. I am a progressive. I am a trans activist. My family disagrees with my extreme leftist progressivism. I hate MAGA. @jimmykimmel: The alleged assassin is MAGA. Kimmel is an affront to human decency,” Professor Gad Saad chimed in.

Buzz Patterson, who worked in the White House Military Office, echoed, “Sue his ass … and then fire him.”

Utah Republican Governor Spencer Cox told The Wall Street Journal of Tyler Robinson, 22, the suspected assassin of Charlie Kirk, “It’s very clear to us and to the investigators that this was a person who was deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.” He had also stated, “It seemed to happen kind of after that – after he moved back to the southern part of Utah. Clearly, there was a lot of gaming going on, friends that have confirmed that there was kind of that deep, dark internet, Reddit culture and these other dark places of the internet where this person was going deep.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
