Border Patrol Agent Allegedly Murdered By Illegal Alien In Vermont

An illegal alien in Vermont allegedly murdered a U.S. Border Patrol agent during a traffic stop on Monday.

“Today, January 20, a Border Patrol agent assigned to the US Border Patrol’s Swanton Sector was fatally shot in the line of duty,” said Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Benjamine Huffman.

Huffman added, “This incident is being swiftly investigated and DHS will release additional information as soon as it becomes available.”

NewsNation’s Ali Bradley reported that the Border Patrol agent was “shot in the neck by an illegal immigrant who sources say was a ‘visa overstay.'”

“Sources say the agent was conducting a traffic stop when he was shot,” Bradley wrote on X. “The shooter is also dead. A woman was injured in the altercation, her status and condition are not known at this time.”

Bradley said that Border Patrol officials believe that some criminal illegal aliens will try to flee the U.S. now that President Donald Trump is back in office.

Huffman said America’s Border Patrol agents “put themselves in harm’s way so that Americans and our homeland are safe and secure.”

“My prayers and deepest condolences are with our Department, the Agent’s family, loved ones, and colleagues,” he added.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
