Comedian Shares Shockingly Violent Anti-Trump Image

Comedian and actress Kathy Griffin seemed to call for political violence this weekend, posting a video to TikTok that showed craft severed heads of four billionaires — including President Donald Trump.

In the video, artwork depicting the decapitated heads of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Donald Trump, all with blood dripping from their necks, hangs from a wall. The clip ends with Griffin tilting her head, a smirk crossing her face as text above her reads: “That’s all.”

The X account Libs of TikTok reposted the video and called for the FBI to investigate her.

Griffin has previously come under fire for media stunts involving severed heads. In 2017, she posted a video of herself holding a mask styled to look like the decapitated head of Trump. After significant backlash, Griffin took the post down and apologized for the incident.

At the time, Lisa Bloom, an attorney for the actress, said that “Griffin never imagined that it could be misinterpreted as a threat of violence against Trump. That was never what she intended. She has never threatened or committed an act of violence against anyone.”

Still, CNN fired Griffin from their New Year’s Eve broadcast, and Squatty Potty, a toilet stool company, dropped her as a spokesperson.

Considering the backlash she received in 2017, it is no surprise that conservatives are not happy with her latest video.

“How is she still not in jail?” one X user wrote.

Others, however, defended her, claiming that “freedom of expression” protects the video. Calls for political violence are not protected speech in the United States.
