EXCLUSIVE: Republican Study Committee Hits Membership High with Addition of Fine, Patronis

The Daily Signal is the first to report that the Republican Study Committee has reached a new record high in membership with the addition of two more members.
Reps. Randy Fine and Jimmy Patronis have joined the committee, bringing its membership to 189. The committee, which aims to influence House policy and deliberations, now encompasses 85% of the House Republican Conference as Republicans look to assemble and pass President Trump’s “big, beautiful” reconciliation package.
Fine and Patronis were recently elected in the Florida special elections to replace former Reps. Mike Waltz and Matt Gaetz, respectively. They join more than 20 new or returning members to the Republican Study Committee for the 119th Congress. Prominently returning members include Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Rep. Andy Harris, R-Md., chairman of the House Freedom Caucus.
RSC Chairman August Pfluger, R-Texas, told The Daily Signal:
The Republican Study Committee continues to strengthen its firepower on Capitol Hill with Rep. Jimmy Patronis and Rep. Randy Fine joining our ranks. These Florida powerhouses bring battle-tested experience—exactly what we need to help clean up Washington where sunlight is indeed the best disinfectant. Together, the 189-member RSC will deliver on our promises to put America First and achieve the decisive victories that the American people voted for in November.
With a Republican trifecta in Washington, the Texas Congressman has aimed to make the committee one of the primary drivers of Republican policy and to defend vulnerable conservative candidates in the midterms.
“It’s great to welcome Rep. Jimmy Patronis and Rep. Randy Fine to the Republican Study Committee,” Vice-Chair Ben Cline, R-Va., told The Daily Signal. “I look forward to working with them to advance our shared RSC priorities and move the America First agenda forward in Congress.”
