Here Are The Biggest Celebrity Meltdowns From Trump’s First 100 Days In Office

It would be an understatement to say that celebrities are unhappy Donald Trump won a second term in the White House.

Interestingly, some of the president’s most fervent critics have remained silent in the wake of Kamala Harris’s crushing loss. But others can’t help but melt down over the fact that the nation selected “literally Hitler” to make America great again.

These famous faces have voiced their protest in awards show speeches and late night monologues, as well as on social media. Some are even fleeing the country to escape President Trump.

No list of Trump tantrums would be complete without Rosie O’Donnell. The former host of “The View” and the president have a feud that goes way back, and now she’s abandoned the United States in favor of Ireland in an effort to “protect” her trans-identified child.

“It’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say. The people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming and I’m very grateful,” O’Donnell said, noting that she decided to move because it “would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child.”

The comedian has a preteen daughter, Dakota, who now goes by Clay and identifies as a boy.

“I’m happy. Clay is happy,” O’Donnell added. “I miss my other kids. I miss my friends. I miss many things about life there at home and I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back.”

“It’s been heartbreaking to see what’s happening politically and hard for me personally as well. The personal is political, as we all know,” O’Donnell continued, subtly referencing her past battles with Trump.

Larry David recently made a tired Trump/Hitler comparison after comedian Bill Maher said positive things about Trump following a dinner they had together. The 77-year-old “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator wrote an opinion piece attacking Maher for being open-minded. The satirical essay based on Maher’s remarks, titled “My Dinner With Adolf,” was published in — where else — The New York Times.

“‘I must say, mein Führer, I’m so thankful I came. Although we disagree on many issues, it doesn’t mean that we have to hate each other.’ And with that, I gave him a Nazi salute and walked out into the night,” David wrote.

Every single panelist on “The View” has made anti-Trump comments ranging from the absurd to the absolutely deranged. It would take too long to go through all of them, but maybe they’re best summed up by a statement that panelist Joy Behar made about her political adversaries.

Last month, Behar said while she would consider being “friends” with a Trump supporter, she wouldn’t be inclined to save their life.

“I won’t give them a kidney but I could be friends with them,” Behar said at the time. “I mean, the question — the thing about it, it’s not just about politics, it’s about morality, ethics, it’s about cruelty, it’s about discrimination. It’s about a lot of things. So, those are personal human values.”

Actor Bradley Whitford, known in part for his role in “The Handmaid’s Tale,” issued a public plea for Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to speak out against President Trump.

“It’s interesting,” he told Variety during an interview earlier this month. “Especially when you look at all the people who I’ve worked for over the years lined up at the Trump inauguration, staying silent while their daughters’ rights are being torn away.”

“You know, misogyny is at the reptilian brain stem of these right-wing Christian white nationalists. It’s punitive. And, man, I’m pissed at all the people I work for. Like, ‘F***ING. SPEAK. UP,’” he added.

“I mean, if you run Disney, which I guess I work for now, I’ve sat through, ‘We really care for you and want to make sure you have access to health care.’ Speak the f*** up!” Whitford yelled during the interview, the outlet noted. “And Jeff Bezos, f***ing speak up!”

“Titanic” and “Avatar” director James Cameron, who is Canadian, also publicly whined about Trump being president, saying he plans to remain in New Zealand.

While responding to a question about Trump retaking office during a podcast interview, Cameron replied, “I think it’s horrific, I think it’s horrifying.”

Cameron applied for American citizenship in 2004, but withdrew his application after George W. Bush won the presidential election. The director lived in the United States for some time and later purchased a farm in New Zealand after filming “Avatar” there. He said his citizenship there is “imminent.”

“I see a turn away from everything decent. America doesn’t stand for anything if it doesn’t stand for what it has historically stood for,” he added. “It becomes a hollow idea, and I think they’re hollowing it out as fast as they can for their own benefit.”

Courtney Love also said she’s getting British citizenship because Trump is president now. The 60-year-old singer, who was married to the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, made the remarks while speaking at the Royal Geographical Society in London. “I’m really glad I’m here,” Love told the crowd.

“It’s so great to live here. I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months,” she added. “I get to be a citizen…I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me!”

“In terms of Trump, and particularly this group… it’s like emperor-core. Like, wearing million-dollar watches. Emperor-core is going on at Mar-a-Lago,” she said. “It’s frightening now. It’s like cyanide now.”

Eighties rock star Nancy Wilson of the band Heart compared being an American today to living through the Vietnam War.

“We were kind of embarrassed at that time to call ourselves American because of the dirty politics of the Vietnam War,” Wilson said. “To be as subtle as possible, it’s more embarrassing now.”

“I think for women in the culture the pendulum will come back again, and there’ll be another renaissance in the arts to push back against the oppression of the cranky old rich white guys,” Wilson said. “I hope I am alive to see that next revolution.”

“Hamilton” producer Jeffrey Seller canceled upcoming shows at The Kennedy Center because President Donald Trump terminated most members of the Board of Trustees and temporarily took over the role himself.

“The Kennedy Center was meant to be for all Americans, a place where we could all come together in celebration of the arts. Politics have never affected the presentation of thousands of shows and the display of extraordinary visual arts,” Seller wrote in part during a lengthy social media post, claiming that in recent weeks “decades” of “neutrality” at the center had “been destroyed” by Trump.

“Given these recent actions, our show simply can not, in good conscience, participate and be part of this new culture that is being imposed on the Kennedy Center,” Seller added.

Not to be outdone, actress Issa Rae also canceled a scheduled performance at the Kennedy Center following the shakeup. Emmy and Golden Globe-winning American producer Shonda Rhimes resigned from the Board of Trustees.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
