Joy Behar Tries To Trash Trump, Hits Victims Of Hurricane Helene Instead

Joy Behar attempted to trash talk former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, but all she really did was downplay the still-unfolding tragedy in the southeastern United States after Hurricane Helene.

During Tuesday’s broadcast of “The View” on ABC, Behar suggested that Trump — who presided over a thriving economy (until the pandemic struck) and slowly burgeoning peace in the Middle East — was a bigger disaster than Helene, which made landfall Thursday as a Category 4 storm and proceeded to cut a wide swath of destruction throughout Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Behar began by mocking Trump for showing up to hurricane-ravaged areas — where he and Reverend Franklin Graham mobilized Samaritan’s Purse resources to get supplies to people in need.

“He shows up because he thinks he … he actually thinks … remember what a disaster he was … when he was president,” she said. “I mean, he thinks because he slept with someone named Stormy that he’s a weather expert.”

“But besides that, the guy, the guy, I want to just remind people what he, when there were … to slow things down,” she continued, and then she went on to claim that he had intentionally slowed relief to blue states when the COVID pandemic began. She offered no proof to support her assertion, and made no mention of the fact that Trump had sent a U.S. Navy hospital ship to New York City in order to provide more beds for patients.

“In the early initial days of COVID, he did not send help to blue states,” she insisted, warning, “He will do that again if he ever becomes president.”

Behar followed her dire prediction by making the sign of the cross.

She also did not mention the fact that while Trump was on the ground in Georgia — taking supplies like clean water and gasoline to families who were stranded and coordinating with Elon Musk to get Starlink up and running for those who had no way to communicate — President Joe Biden was “commanding” the situation by taking a few phones calls from his beach house and Vice President Kamala Harris was hitting Hollywood up for campaign cash.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
