Kamala Harris Makes False Claim About Trump September Debate

Vice President Kamala Harris falsely suggested that former President Donald Trump agreed to debate her in September and that he was now trying to back out of the debate.

“I’m ready to debate Donald Trump,” she told reporters. “I have agreed to the previously agreed upon September 10th debate, he agreed to that previously, now it appears he’s back-peddling.”

“But I’m ready, and I think the voters deserve to see the split screen that exists in this race on a debate stage and so I’m ready,” she added. “Let’s go.”

The claim is false because Trump never agreed to debate Harris on September 10th; he agreed to debate President Joe Biden, who has since dropped out of the race because of his disastrous June debate performance. The performance was do bad that it injected his cognitive decline into the mainstream discourse after the media and the Democrat Party tried to hide it and his poll numbers subsequently cratered.

Trump said earlier this week that he was willing to have multiple debates with Harris, but he wants to move the debate off of ABC News because of how biased the network is.

However, following a CNN poll that was subsequently released that found that 73% of Democrat voters want someone else other than Harris to be the nominee, the Trump Campaign said that he now wants to wait to see who the party’s official nominee will be before the campaign agrees to anything.

“Given the continued political chaos surrounding Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, general election debate details cannot be finalized until Democrats formally decide on their nominee,” the Trump Campaign said in a statement. “There is a strong sense by many in the Democrat Party – namely Barack Hussein Obama – that Kamala Harris is a Marxist fraud who cannot beat President Trump, and they are still holding out for someone ‘better.'”

“Therefore, it would be inappropriate to schedule things with Harris because Democrats very well could still change their minds,” the statement added.
