Ranchers, Angel Parents, Flight Attendants Urge Senate to Pass ‘Big, Beautiful, Bill’

The Trump administration will highlight everyday Americans on Thursday in an effort to urge Senate Republicans to pass the “One Big, Beautiful Bill.”
President Donald Trump will deliver remarks in the East Room of the White House to an audience of Congress members and regular citizens like truck drivers, fire fighters, law enforcement, angel parents, health care workers, tipped workers, and ranchers, who the White House says will benefit from the spending bill’s provisions.
The goal of the event is to urge senators on the fence to voting for the bill, like fiscal hawks Sens. Ron Johnson of Florida, Mike Lee of Utah, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Rick Scott of Florida.
Four Medicaid defenders—Josh Hawley of Missouri, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Thom Tillis of North Carolina, and Jerry Moran of Kansas—have also said they won’t vote for a bill which cuts entitlements.
Democrats have attempted to frame the bill as a tax cut for the rich, but a White House official told The Daily Signal it’s actually a boon for working Americans.
“Any Democrat or Republican that votes against the bill, is voting for a massive tax hike on everyday Americans,” the official said.
Maliki Krieski, a DoorDash driver invited to the event, said she will benefit from the bill’s “No Tax on Tips” provision.
“As a mom and a small business owner, every dollar counts. I deliver with DoorDash to help support my son who has Type 1 diabetes, and the tips I earn make a real difference,” Krieski said in a statement. “Thanks to No Tax on Tips, I’ll be able to keep more of what I earn. This is the kind of policy that makes an impact for people like me across the country.”
Tax-free tips and overtime pay in the bill are popular with 78% of Americans, according to a recent Scott Rasmussen poll.
Pam Furrie, a senior citizen and border state resident, is attending to highlight the bill’s border and Social Security provisions. Furrie is a grandmother of five who wants her descendants to inherit a strong country.
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act makes the largest border security investment in history and equips U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to deport millions of illegal immigrants.
“As residents of a border state, my family and I have seen firsthand the disastrous results of President [Joe] Biden’s feckless immigration policies over the past four years,” Furrie said.
“The bill includes strong border protections and funding to finish the southern border wall, which the Biden administration abandoned, putting the interest of illegal aliens over hardworking Americans,” she continued. “This bill will help to reinforce the great work that has already been done by President Trump in driving illegal immigration to record historic lows.”
Furrie celebrates the protections for Social Security and the tax deduction for middle class seniors.
“This new seniors deduction will help our family afford groceries, healthcare, and everyday living expenses,” she said.
Mike Chapman, sheriff of Loudon County, Virginia, said no tax on overtime pay will help deputies who put their lives on the line.
“This reaffirms President Trump’s unwavering support for America’s law enforcement professionals,” Chapman said in a statement.
Delta Air Lines flight attendant Mallory Brown said the funding for air traffic control will enable the modernization of the system.
“Lacking a modern and efficient air traffic control system regularly causes delays and cancellations in our operation, making it extremely difficult to provide the best possible experience we can for our customers when they fly,” Brown said.
Other everyday American attendees will include the CEO of DoorDash, a nurse, parents who have lost children to illegal immigrant criminals, a United Airlines pilot, members of parental rights group Moms for Liberty, small business owners, and a rancher.
