Stephen Miller Battles CNN Anchor Over Illegal Aliens Stealing From Taxpayers

White House senior adviser Stephen Miller slammed CNN’s Brianna Keilar during a contentious interview on Tuesday over the subject of illegal aliens who are stealing from United States taxpayers.

Keilar asked Miller on CNN’s “News Central” about the Trump administration looking at “widespread fraud in the IRS data,” including illegal immigrants “who are getting child tax credits.”

“Are you looking for that information in the IRS data?” she asked.

“Any time a crime is committed, of course there should be an investigation,” Miller responded. “Is it your position that if somebody who is criminally stealing tax payer dollars–”

Keilar cut him off and asked: “Stephen, are you looking for that information in the IRS data?”

“The federal government will find every illegal alien who is stealing American taxpayer dollars, and that’s what Americans expect to happen,” Miller responded.

Keilar pressed Miller to share IRS data that the administration finds on illegal aliens who are stealing from taxpayers.

“If IRS investigators find illegal aliens stealing taxpayer money, of course they’ll be referred to ICE,” Miller said. “Of course they’ll be referred to Homeland Security Investigations. Of course they will be.”

“Surely, your position is not that we should let illegal aliens steal taxpayer dollars?” Miller fired back. “Again you want to talk about something to be upset about, that’s it. What do you think of the millions of illegal aliens who have also stolen Social Security?”

“Illegal aliens en masse have fake social security numbers. They have fake identities. Those are felonies,” he continued. “Why should there be an entire class in this country that is immunized from criminal prosecution and arrest for committing felonies? Felony theft of taxpayer information, felony theft of Social Security, felony theft of identity.”

“These are all crimes, and yes, they’ll be investigated, yes, they’ll be prosecuted, and yes, illegals will be deported,” he said. “And you know what happens when deportations occur? Americans will get jobs, Americans will get benefits, Americans will get houses.”

Keilar tried to make the administration look bad by portraying them in a negative light for going after illegal aliens who are getting tax benefits that they are not eligible for, like child tax credits.

“Is that the position of the administration?” she pressed.

“If it is found that a crime has been committed, they will be referred,” he responded. “If it justifies a prosecution, they’ll be prosecuted. If it justifies a deportation, they will be deported. This will be based on existing IRS protocols and procedures for criminal investigation and fraud.”

“The difference is that no one is given immunity anymore,” he continued. “No one is given permission to break the law anymore because this is not a sovereign territory if illegal aliens can freely steal billions with a ‘B,’ billions of taxpayer dollars. And I would have to imagine that CNN, which has endlessly talked about the importance of democracy and the rule of law, would say that no class in this country should be above the law, least of all illegal aliens who have trespassed on our territory.”

He ended the interview by noting that Keilar did not sound “indifferent or unbiased on these questions, but thank you.”
