Stephen Miller Pledges ‘Full Might’ Of DHS, DOJ, DOD To Be Used In Mass Deportation Effort

White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller pledged that the “full might” of the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Defense will be employed as President Donald Trump enacts his mass deportation effort.
Miller’s comments came today in a White House press briefing after one journalist asked about reports that President Donald Trump is concerned about the pace of deportations. “Well, first of all, we all appreciate the encouragement from the media to deport as many illegal aliens as humanly possible,” Miller said before going on to explain that the mass deportation effort will be bolstered by multiple federal agencies.
“I can promise you that the full might of the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, the Department of Defense, and every element and instrument of national power will be used to remove with speed all criminal illegals from the soil of the United States of America, to enforce final removal orders, and to ensure that this country is for American citizens and those that legally belong in this country,” Miller asserted.
The White House official also highlighted Trump’s steps to slash illegal immigration in his first days in office. “We inherited an ICE that was completely shuttered, we inherited a Department of Homeland Security whose sole mission was to resettle illegal aliens within the United States of America,” Miller noted.
“In 30 days, the president sealed the border shut, declared the cartels to be terrorist organizations, has increased ICE deportations to levels not seen in decades, and we are shortly on the verge of achieving a pace and speed of deportations this country has never before seen,” he went on to say.
The Trump administration deported roughly 11,000 illegal aliens in the first 18 days and is currently preparing to drastically increase detention space. The Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, known for holding terror suspects, has accepted its first flights of illegal alien detainees and Marines are working to expand the site’s capacity, enabling it to hold 30,000 detainees.
Illegal border crossing attempts have dropped drastically, with the Trump White House celebrating that “in the 11 days after Jan. 20, migrants apprehended at ports of entry declined by 93%.”
