‘The Dad The Democrats Never Had’: X Lights Up As Vance, Johnson Eyeball Unruly Dems

Democrats did their level best to disrupt and derail President Donald Trump’s Tuesday evening address before a joint session of Congress, but all that their efforts appeared to net was one ejected congressman and a few withering glances from Vice President JD Vance and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).

Rep. Al Green (D-TX) was booted from the chamber shortly after President Trump began speaking — and in his absence, the remaining Democrats sat in stony silence, save for a few boos, for the remainder of the address. Many of them held signs — that looked like auction paddles printed with slogans attacking Trump’s policies — as they steadfastly refused to applaud or stand.

Trump called the Democrats out directly early on, noting that they’d never clap for him no matter how great his accomplishments were, and then went about the business of delivering his remarks. But as he did so, Vance and Johnson glared toward the Democrats’ side of the chamber from time to time.

A number of those watching the address noticed Vance and Johnson, and commented via X.

“JD Vance is like the dad the Democrats never had,” one posted.

“I love watching Mike Johnson and JD Vance giving Democrats really dirty looks for acting like listless s***s,” Twitchy’s Sam Janney posted.

“JD Vance is the ultimate wingman for Trump. I’m living for the daggers he stares at Dems when they get belligerent and start shouting. You always gotta have a guy like that in your circle,” Jason Howerton posted.

Miranda Devine added, “Love how JD Vance keeps looking over at the Democrats and smiling.”

“Vance Glance strikes again,” another added.

“JD Vance is all of us right now how he’s eyeballing the democrats,” another said.

“JD Vance and Speaker Johnson are up there giving someone on the democrats side the same look my momma used to give me when I was acting up in church,” another posted.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
