Trump Delivers On Unity Focus: ‘There Is No Victory In Winning For Half Of America’

Former President Donald Trump took a very different tone when he took the stage at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to formally accept the 2024 Republican nomination.

Delivering on his promise to promote unity, Trump said that he wanted to win the presidency for all Americans — and that there was “no victory in winning” if it was only for half the country.

“I stand before you this evening with a message of confidence, strength, and hope,” he began. “Four months from now we will have an incredible victory and we will begin the four greatest years in the history of our country. Together we will launch a new era of safety, prosperity, and freedom for citizens of every race, religion, color, and creed.”

“The discord and division in our society must be healed. As Americans, we are bound together by a single fate and a shared destiny. We rise together. Or we fall apart,” Trump continued. “I am running to be president for ALL of America, not half of America, because there is no victory in winning for half of America.”

Trump followed with a detailed account of his Saturday rally in Pennsylvania, which was cut short when a would-be assassin opened fire and shot him in the ear, killing firefighter Corey Comperatore and wounding at least two others.
