Trump Mocks Trudeau, Says He Resigned Because He Knows Canada Should Be 51st State

President-elect Donald Trump mocked far-left Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday after the failed leader announced that he was resigning as the leader of his party and as the country’s prime minister once the party selects a successor.

“Many people in Canada LOVE being the 51st State,” Trump said. “The United States can no longer suffer the massive Trade Deficits and Subsidies that Canada needs to stay afloat.”

“Justin Trudeau knew this, and resigned,” he continued. “If Canada merged with the U.S., there would be no Tariffs, taxes would go way down, and they would be TOTALLY SECURE from the threat of the Russian and Chinese Ships that are constantly surrounding them.”

Trump added, “Together, what a great Nation it would be!!!”

Trump has regularly taunted Trudeau over the last couple of months, going as far as to say that Canada could join the U.S. if it was unable to pay the tariffs that Trump has floated enacting against Canada.

“It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada,” Trump wrote last month. “I look forward to seeing the Governor again soon so that we may continue our in depth talks on Tariffs and Trade, the results of which will be truly spectacular for all!”

Trudeau announced on Monday that he was resigning as he trails far in the polls to the opposition Conservative Party, led by Pierre Poilievre.

Canada’s parliament will be suspended until March 24 while a new leader will be chosen.

“Last night, over dinner, I told my kids about the decision that I’m sharing with you today,” Trudeau said. “I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister, after the party selects its next leader through a robust, nationwide, competitive process.”

“Last night, I asked the president of the Liberal Party to begin that process,” he continued. “This country deserves a real choice in the next election, and it has become clear to me that if I am having to fight internal battles, I cannot be the best option in that election.”

The majority of his caucus had called on Trudeau — who took over as leader of the party in 2013 and has served as the prime minister of Canada since 2015 —  to resign.

Multiple top officials in his administration have already resigned.

One of the biggest issues in Canada is how the country has started to change after Trudeau welcomed large numbers of Islamic refugees into the country.

Other countries that also brought in large numbers of these refugees included Germany and France, both of which are facing growing backlash.

In the U.S., Vice President Kamala Harris was blown out by President-elect Donald Trump in large part because of how the Biden-Harris administration let millions of illegal aliens into the country.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
