Trump Says He’s Giving ‘Serious’ Thought To Stripping Rosie O’Donnell’s Citizenship

President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he was giving “serious consideration” to revoking actress and comedian Rosie O’Donnell’s American citizenship, claiming that she was a “threat to humanity” and should stay in Ireland.

Trump, who has often sparred with O’Donnell over the years, made the comment in a post shared to his Truth Social platform.

“Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship. She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!” he posted.

O’Donnell hit back with a series of photos and video clips shared to her Instagram Stories that included a number of photos of Trump with the late disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Claiming that she lived “rent-free” in Trump’s head, she dared him to “go ahead and try” to revoke her citizenship.

“I’m not yours to silence. I never was,” she insisted, signing her name alongside an Irish flag.

She followed that with another post along with a caption asking whether he planned to deport everyone who took a stand against him: “the president of the usa has always hated the fact that i see him for who he is – a criminal con man sexual abusing liar out to harm our nation to serve himself – this is why i moved to ireland – he is a dangerous old soulless man with dementia who lacks empathy compassion and basic humanity- i stand in direct opposition all he represents- so do millions of others – u gonna deport all who stand against ur evil tendencies – ur a bad joke who cant form a coherent sentence.”

O’Donnell fled to Ireland following Trump’s decisive electoral victory in November, saying at the time, “I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back.”

Trump questioned Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin about her during an Oval Office meeting months later, asking, “Why in the world would you let Rosie O’Donnell move to Ireland? I think she’s going to lower your happiness levels.”
