Trump Says He’s Not Targeting Prince Harry For Deportation: ‘Enough Problems With His Wife’

Despite the number of deportations happening under the Trump administration, the president recently ruled out adding British royal Prince Harry to the list.

President Trump told the New York Post on Friday that unlike unlawfully present violent offenders and criminals, Harry isn’t on his radar. “I don’t want to do that,” he told the outlet. “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

He also told the Post that “poor Harry” is “whipped” by his wife, Meghan Markle.

Meanwhile, the president praised Prince William, Harry’s older brother and heir to the British throne. Trump said he believes the Prince of Wales is “a great man.”

The NY Post noted that Prince Harry’s immigration status is currently being litigated in Washington, D.C. The Heritage Foundation alleges that the former working royal, who quit his job and defected to the United States with his actress wife, might have been untruthful about past illegal drug use on his visa application, which would have been disqualifying.

The conservative organization pointed to revelations in Harry’s best-selling memoir, “Spare,” as proof of his prior hard drug use.

Although Trump has not targeted Prince Harry for deportation, he has been vocal about his feelings for the self-exiled royal. In February last year, Trump accused former President Joe Biden’s administration of “protecting Harry” and said he couldn’t promise the same.

“He betrayed the queen. That’s unforgivable,” President Trump told the U.K.’s Daily Express in an interview at the time.

The royal couple has also voiced negative feelings about Trump over the years. During the 2016 presidential race, Markle called the president “divisive” and “misogynistic,” prompting Trump to call her statements about him “nasty.”

In 2020, Trump said he wasn’t “a fan” of Markle.

“Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chimed in on the U.S. election and essentially encouraged people to vote for Joe Biden,” a reporter told Trump at the time, as The Daily Wire previously reported. “I want to get your reaction to that.”

Trump responded, “I’m not a fan of hers and I would say this, and she probably has heard that, but I wish a lot of luck to Harry … because he’s going to need it.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
