‘Truth Is, These Are Not Very Bright Guys’

Why are Democratic Party leaders rendering garments over the elimination of narco-terrorists on the high seas?

Why are highly educated liberals standing inside beautiful Union Station tormenting the same National Guard members who are keeping them from being accosted or worse by mentally-ill vagrants?

Why is Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker saying Chicago is safe when the city’s motto is “DUCK!”

Why was Sen. Chris Van Hollen downing fruity drinks with a wife-beating, child-abusing, human smuggling gangbanger? Then welcoming the thug back to Maryland like he was Lamar Jackson returning with a Super Bowl trophy?

Why were Democrat senators screaming at Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. like he was a ref who’d blown a call against their team simply for wanting healthy children and reliable health data?

Certainly, there’s got to be some underlying, Machiavellian strategy to what on the surface seems madness; a well thought out, if wicked, scheme being run. After all, these are among America’s brightest minds if they have risen to the top of national leadership.

Right? It simply makes no sense otherwise.

Then a scene from the movie “All the President’s Men” pops into mind, which may explain all. The scene in question comes toward the end of the flick.

Robert Redford as Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward is completely vexed. He and partner Carl Bernstein have collected the pieces of the Watergate scandal puzzle, but he just can’t put it together. He’s in a Washington garage, talking to his source Deep Throat, Redford’s perfect face crinkled in confusion. Deep Throat clears up the matter.

“Forget the myths the media has created about the White House. Truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.”

Ah, there it is. Forget the myths we’ve been told. The baffling actions of our political elites on the Left aren’t necessary the evil machinations worthy of Professor Moriarity, crafty political warfare from students of Sun Tzu. Whether through respect for the institutions, respect for our civics studies teachers, or the logical belief that the cream rises to the top, we grant our elected leaders a level of intelligence and wisdom that they haven’t necessarily earned. Certainly not today’s Democratic Party leadership.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys and gals, and things have gotten out of hand. They’ve both lost control to the crazy wing of the party and are continually outfoxed by the Orange Man.

You are simply not that bright if you think fighting to make streets safer is a bad thing; that it’s a good thing if the first impression those arriving at Union Station get of our nation’s capital is a vagrant taking a dump on the polished floors.

You’re simply not that bright if you protest the arrest of child traffickers and the elimination of drug-smuggling terrorists.

You’re simply not that bright if you come out in favor of government waste, fraud, and abuse.

Really. In just the past couple weeks, Democrats have fought against bringing an end to the Russia-Ukraine war, bringing an end to rampant crime in the district, and bringing more criminal illegal immigrants to justice. And they cranked the hysteria to 11 when grilling Kennedy.

For three hours last week, Kennedy was berated and bellowed at, slurred and slandered, at a volume that would make roadies for Metallica wince. Yes, lifelong Democrat Robert Kennedy, Jr., heir to the Kennedy Democrat Dynasty. Did they really think they’re going to rattle, let alone impress, a guy whose playroom as a kid was the Oval Office? Who saw up close the works of Camelot? Who’s got a passion … no, a calling from the Great Physician … to make America healthy again?

They were more Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels than Daniel Webster and Henry Clay.

So, yes, I must believe these are not really bright guys and gals.

The only alternative is they have a pathological hatred for the American people, for life, for the health of children … for themselves.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
