‘We’re Not Going To Stop’: Homan Says ICE Will Keep Deporting Illegals Amid Ambush Attacks

Border Czar Tom Homan said that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents would continue to apprehend and deport illegal aliens despite a recent rash of ambush attacks aimed at preventing them from carrying out their mission.

Homan joined Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, host of “The Story,” to discuss the news that murder charges had been filed against ten people who had been involved in a “coordinated attack” against ICE agents in Alvarado, Texas.

“What do you make of the organization and sophistication level of this, and what are you doing to protect your agents in light of these attacks?” MacCallum asked.

“I said over two months ago, if the rhetoric continues against ICE agents and Border Patrol agents about being compared to terrorists, like Congresswoman Jayapal did, being compared to Nazis and racists, that it’s going to end with a use of force that either a criminal is going to die or an officer is going to die,” Homan explained.

“I’ve seen this recipe before,” he continued. “I know it’s coming, and I don’t think it’s over. … And look, this was a well-planned attack, and it’s because of the rhetoric. These nuts that want to take it beyond protests into criminal activity, they’re getting rhetoric from members of Congress — Senators who compare ICE to the Nazis. And Congresswoman Jayapal compared them to terrorist organizations.”

“So these people, these fringe groups, feel emboldened — if a member of Congress can attack ICE, why can’t we?” he added. “But here’s what they need to understand: we’re not going to stop enforcing immigration law.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
