White House to Pull Surgeon General Nomination: Report

The Trump administration will pull the nomination of Dr. Janette Nesheiwat to be surgeon general following reports that she inflated her credentials, Fox Business reported.

Nesheiwat has described herself as a double board-certified physician with a degree from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine. But Nesheiwat actually earned her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, in St. Maarten.

Nesheiwat has also been criticized by conservatives for touting the idea that children can identity as a gender that differs from their biological sex.

“But the most important thing of all of this is no matter what gender your child identifies as, accept them and love them for who they are,” she said on Fox News in 2022.

Nesheiwat’s nomination hearing was scheduled for May 8 before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
