Disruption Is, Well … Disruptive–Why Washington Fears EJ Antoni

Washington is flailing.

The establishment has gone into full meltdown over one man: Dr. EJ Antoni.

Why?

Because he’s telling the truth taxpayers already know–America’s economic data system is broken, politicized, and no longer trusted. For decades, the Bureau of Labor Statistics was supposed to be the gold standard of government data. Today, it’s a punchline.

Inflation numbers have been gamed. Jobs reports have been massaged. The public doesn’t trust what Washington publishes, and for good reason. When the numbers are wrong, the policies built on them are wrong–and so, ordinary Americans pay the price.

EJ Antoni steps into this crisis. In reaction, the Washington sewer creatures flail. Because disruption is disruptive, ipso facto.

Antoni is not a partisan pawn. He’s a serious, fact-driven economist with a record of rigorous analysis. He’s independent, principled, and fearless in saying what Washington insiders won’t. He has exposed a broken system of fake numbers for years, and done it with evidence and real data. Now, he has the mandate to actually fix the broken system itself. It’s a lot like RFK Jr, the most prolific critic of America’s public health bureaucracy, finally being put in charge of reforming that very bureaucracy.

Fantastic! But dangerous … at least to Permanent Washington. So, the attacks come.

I can tell you from 25 years of as an institutional bond trader, that all government inflation data is viewed with high skepticism, by the pros whose careers live or die based on capital allocations regarding rates and inflation. Instead, we relied on actual capital market moves, private sources of data, and public platforms trying to tell the truth about inflation, like the highly innovative Truflation.

But corrupt D.C. insiders still pretend their data is sound, and shriek at Antoni’s revelation. On a related topic, when Antoni points to the looming Social Security crisis, they howl.

They do not lash out because he’s wrong–but rather because he’s right. Not because he threatens America’s credibility–but because he threatens their perquisites.

Here’s the reality: Antoni is the cleanup crew. He’s the “fixer” brought in by President Donald Trump, and cleaning-up a disaster isn’t for the faint of heart or the thin of skin.

How can we restore trust in America’s numbers?

Antoni will modernize the Bureau of Labor Statistics, strip away the politicization, and put accuracy ahead of spin. He will deliver cleaner, faster, more honest realtime data–because America deserves better than the swamp’s excuses.

Critics label him “controversial.” That says more about Washington than it does about Antoni. The real extremism is defending failure.

Others smear him as “partisan.” But the real partisans are the ones who politicized the BLS in the first place. Now they scream “partisan” as projection, because they know Antoni is coming to clean up their mess.

At this level, data integrity is not theoretical or just academic. Every bad number means a bad policy. Every fake statistic hurts taxpayers. Inflation estimates that understate reality? Families pay the price at the grocery store – and they know it!

Antoni is fighting for taxpayers. His critics are fighting for themselves. That’s the contrast. That’s the story. And here’s the kicker: the louder they scream, the clearer it is Antoni is right over the target.

This is how Washington always reacts when a reformer threatens their turf. From RFK to Tulsi Gabbard to EJ Antoni. The slanderous skeptics don’t debate the merits. They don’t defend the numbers. Instead they smear, distract, and shout “extreme” or “partisan.” They try to make the reformer the issue because they cannot defend the system.

But the system is the issue.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics should be the gold standard again. America’s data should be beyond reproach. Our leadership in the world depends on it. Investors, businesses, workers, and families all need reliable facts. Without trust in the numbers, we lose trust in government itself.

Antoni knows this imperative. He realizes that spin doesn’t pay the bills. To paraphrase biased CNN, an apple is an apple, and facts matter. Antoni knows taxpayers, not insiders, deserve honesty.

As an intellectual warriors, Antoni is not rattled by the cacophony. He expected it. Because disruption is disruptive. And nothing threatens the administrative state of Washington like the prospect of reform that actually works.

E.J. Antoni is serious. He’s disciplined. He’s fact-based, independent, and tough enough to finish the job. He is the clean-up crew–and Washington insiders can flail all they want, but the cleanup is coming.

Facts over narratives. Process over politics. Trust restored.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
