Hamas Accuses Israel Of Violating Ceasefire, Suspends Hostage Releases ‘Until Further Notice’

Hamas suspended the release of hostages slated for Saturday until further notice after accusing Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement.

“The handover of the Zionist prisoners who were scheduled to be released next Saturday, February 15, 2025, will be postponed until further notice and until the occupation commits to and compensates for the entitlements of the past weeks retroactively,” Hamas wrote on its Telegram, per The Jerusalem Post.

Hamas accused Israel of delaying the return of Gazans to northern Israel, shelling them with gunfire, and blocking humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip.

“During the past three weeks, the resistance leadership has monitored the enemy’s violations and failure to abide by the terms of the agreement,” Hamas said.

In response, The Hostages and Missing Families Forum called on the mediating countries to help save and restore the deal.

“Recent evidence from those released, as well as the shocking conditions of the hostages released last Saturday, leaves no room for doubt,” the group said, according to The Associated Press. “Time is of the essence, and all hostages must be urgently rescued from this horrific situation.”

On Saturday, President Donald Trump said he is losing patience with Hamas following the return of three Israeli hostages who were in dangerously poor health.

“I watched the hostages return today, and they looked like Holocaust survivors,” Trump said. “They were in horrible condition, emaciated. It looked like many years ago, the Holocaust survivors. I don’t know how much longer we can take that.”

“At some point, we are going to lose our patience,” Trump added. “When I see that scene that I saw today of people coming out of helicopters and airplanes that are emaciated that look like they haven’t had a meal in a month, there’s no reason for that and I don’t know how much longer we can take it.”

Hamas has been concerned about Trump’s plan for the Gazans to be relocated and for the United States to take over and develop the strip.

The terrorist organization that raped, murdered, and kidnapped over a thousand Israeli civilians on October 7, called Trump’s proposal a “crime against humanity.”

“What President Trump stated about his intention to displace the residents of the Gaza Strip outside it and the United States’ control over the Strip by force is a crime against humanity,” a senior Hamas official told Fox News.

The official called Trump’s actions an “interference in a topic which should not be of his concern.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
